Testimonials

Here are some of our wonderful success stories and testimonials of client experiences!

Lyme Disease
Beth

"Lyme disease is a hard thing to have, many professionals do not even acknowledge that the disease exists in humans. Trying to find treatments for the disease can also be hard. That was not the case when I started hyperbaric treatments with Under Pressure. This type of treatment was first introduced to me in Utah at a clinic where I was being treated for my Lyme disease. It was amazing to find out that there was a facility here in the Greater Toronto Area. The staff was kind and professional to me and made me confident that this form of treatment would be a help in combating my Lyme disease. I found the treatment non invasive and I also found the idea of supplying your body with a greater level of oxygen to help kill unwanted bacteria fascinating. I underwent a series of treatments and did feel better than I had in many years, I am feeling like myself again."

Nick's Story
Adriana & Stan

Nicholas has Autism Spectrum Disorder, he is 9 years old and in grade 4 and he was non verbal. We started Hyperbaric Treatments, going 3 - 5 days per week for approximately 9 weeks or so and then one a week.

Our family members, teachers and therapists see the changes in Nicholas.

- Trying to talk more freely
- putting together 2 - 4 word sentences
- wants to communicate with everyone
- more attentive at home and at school
- more engaged with his older brother (James), other children and adults.
- also well behaved in public and at family functions.

The staff is always friendly and are very knowledgeable. We plan to continue with another set of treatments.

Than you so much, Under Pressure Staff!"

Ryan's Story
Jason

"Although we were only attending sessions 3 times per week for approximately 8 weeks, the effects on Ryan were of the magnitude that I hadn't seen in years. After a couple of weeks of sessions it was apparent to everyone around Ryan that he was more attentive as well as more articulate in his responses and conversations. He was significantly more in tune and descriptive in relation to his surroundings (something that is a pervasive issue for those with autism). It just seemed as though we had expanded into a previously untapped part of his brain. These observations were the key reason for us to continue past the initial 20 sessions we had signed up for.

While we have maintained several part-time therapies for Ryan since grade 1, I have not seen this level of improvement in him over this short a time span since his time in ABA therapy in his pre-school days, which was about 12 hours per week. In my estimation Ryan's improvement after his 8 weeks at Under Pressure equates to about 18-24 months of the part-time therapies he is currently attending (about 1.5 hours per week).

While we have several factors to consider, we will make a strong effort to get Ryan back to Under Pressure for another set of sessions sometime in the near future."

- Thanks so much

Autism Spectrum Disorder
Jesssica/Nuno/Tiago/Ariana

"I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the welcoming feeling during our visits at Under Pressure. We have not forgotten about you guys we will be back 🙂

Tiago has made some amazing changes, we truly are happy we took the plunge to start diving. He's trying more and more to vocalize, and his walking has gotten so much better, to the point he's getting better at running. He also has been doing amazing with stairs. He comes down them now on his own (of course with us in front of him, but he doesn't even hold our hand anymore its all him using the pickets or going down on his bum, but mostly pickets.

He's even more focused as well and totally aware of what's going on around him. Eg: Ariana was being bad one evening last week so we put her on time out in the dinning room. Tiago went and sat in front of her and started laughing at her (almost as if he was saying hahaha you didn't learn your lesion the last three times mom and dad told you to do something). Let me tell you Nuno and I died laughing, he's such a funny boy and knows exactly what's going on.

He's also begining to learn sign language with his home therapy and is doing amazing. HBOT has truly worked wonders for him.

We will be back to do some upkeep of the treatment soon!

From our heart to yours, we truly are blessed and thankful to have been able to get such welcoming assistance from a great team at Under Presssure and look forward to coming back. "

Multiple Sclerosis
Gratefully, Vicki

"Just wanted to give you an update on last night's session. I was having an exacerbation of my symptoms and it was not fun. Lack of coordination, pain and tightness in both hands and feet, balance a little off and the fatigue was overwhelming. I don't get them very often at all but they can be pretty stressful when it happens.

So, I was wondering if the chamber was actually doing anything for me. I was driving to Mom and Dad's last night and suddenly realised that the pain had gone from my hands and my coordination was really good. And then noticed my feet felt perfect. A little later that night the symptoms seemed to return and I was happy at least I had a little relief from them.

Woke up this morning and felt great!!!!! Pain is gone from hands and feet (tightness is still there but that's normal). My feet feel absolutely normal! Balance and coordination is back.

I can't tell you how happy I feel right now. MS takes it toll emotionally also (as do all diseases) but the overwhelming sense of relief is just wonderful. What a great early Christmas present!!!!!!

I just can't say thank you enough for the opportunity to use the HBOT. I think I will email the MS Society of Canada and tell them of my experience. Can't hurt, right? Also ask them if they have done any research into this type of treatment.

Won't take up your whole computer but I just don't think thank you is sufficient enough.......... :o)"

Post Surgery Recovery
Paul

“My experience here at Under Pressure was positive on all points. My recovery from surgery was faster than I expected, in fact my surgeon was visibly impressed by the results in such a short time. Plus the whole clinic experience was positive, friendly staff, upbeat atmosphere and state of the art technology. Two thumbs up.”

Concussion
Sarah C

" I just wanted to start off by saying thank you, since my last round of treatments I have been able to resume normal activity in my daily life. I recently finished my take home exam and an in class exam which I ended up receiving a high mark on both. I have also started back to class again and am able to sit through class and complete the work. I would not have been able to do this without the treatments at Under Pressure, and just wanted to thank you and the rest of the under pressure staff for helping me recover. "
Thank you again very much
