Indications

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established medical treatment. In April 2005, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society recognized the therapy as an effective treatment for 14 specific conditions. These 14 conditions are approved for treatment by the FDA and Health Canada. And when performed under the supervision of a licenced physician specializing in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, they may be covered by OHIP.

Off label uses of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy have been around for decades, in some cases countless studies have been undertaken, in other cases many hyperbaric clinics around the world have obtained the same positive results.These conditions are not yet recognized by Health Canada since research is still being gathered but the results speak for themselves in theory and in practice. There are over 150 internationally treated off label conditions for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
